Wangaratta BUG is active in promoting cycling in the North East and works closely with various organisations to ensure cyclists have the necessary facilities to enjoy safe cycling well into the future.

  • Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail ( 1 Articles )
    Wangaratta BUG members actively participate in the management of the MTMRT. Read about the projects we have participated in and our ongoing work to ensure the MTMRT continues to be the premier Rail Trail in Victoria.
  • Cycle Tourism Officer ( 5 Articles )
    Clayton Neil is the Cycle Tourism Officer for the North East of Victoria. His role is to promote all disciplines of cycling across the municipalities of Rural City of Wangaratta, Indigo and Alpine Shires  in addition to supporting strategic activities related to the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail.   Clayton writes a monthly report about news and activities within the North East.  His reports can be viewed or downloaded here.

    The Victorian Bicycle Advisory Council (VBAC) was established on 25th November 1998, and includes representatives from Government, Bicycle Victoria, the cycling industry, researchers and the community.

  • RoadSafe North East ( 1 Articles )

    RoadSafe involves the community in reducing road trauma by addressing local road safety issues. It consists of a coordinated network of 24 RoadSafe Community Road Safety Councils across Victoria.
